MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, OCTOBER 2023 – Elkay Interior Systems employees, including executive team members, recently served for the second time at the Milwaukee Rescue Mission. This dedicated group worked closely with the mission's coordinators to meticulously organize the hygiene closet, ensuring that women and children in need have access to essential items. They also sorted and arranged winter clothing to prepare for the colder months ahead.
Content Creator Jessie Rigney commented on her experience at the mission. “As a remote employee, traveling to Milwaukee to volunteer with my coworkers was a unique and rewarding experience,” Rigney said. “It gave me the opportunity to connect with my team in person, which is different from our usual virtual interactions. Working side by side with my colleagues to make a positive impact on the community strengthened our bonds and enriched my sense of belonging within EIS.”
The volunteer’s contributions went beyond their time and effort. Demonstrating their deep commitment to the community, the Elkay Family Foundation generously donated $5,000 to the mission and provided a much-needed bottle-filling station to promote better health and hydration.
