Museo Jumex
Mueso Jumex
Location:
Mexico City, Mexico
Scope:
EIS's Latin America Team had the unique opportunity to engineer and craft Corian materials into platforms, pedestals, and acrylic capsules for renowned artist Jeff Koons. This collaboration aimed to showcase and elevate everyday objects as art, reflecting Koons' innovative vision.
The stands we developed were meticulously designed to enhance the presentation of his sculptures, creating a sense of levity and elegance. Jeff Koons chose Corian for its smooth, seamless finish, which not only complemented the aesthetic of his work but also gave the sculptures the appearance of floating in mid-air. Despite its delicate look, Corian is sturdy enough to support the immense weight of the pieces, ensuring both safety and style.
These custom displays were integral to Koons' exhibition at Museo Jumex, which ran from May to September 2019. The thoughtful design and craftsmanship of our team contributed to a captivating viewing experience, allowing visitors to engage deeply with the artwork.
This project exemplified EIS’s commitment to excellence in the art and culture sector, showcasing our ability to create bespoke solutions that enhance the presentation of contemporary art. The exhibition was well-received, further solidifying the intersection of commercial interior design in a museum setting.
