MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, December 2024 - Elkay Interior Systems (EIS) has announced two key promotions within its leadership team, reinforcing the organization’s focus on strategic growth and operational excellence.

Mia Nicolaisen has been promoted to President of EIS Global. With nearly a decade of experience at EIS, Nicolaisen has consistently demonstrated leadership and innovation across several key roles. She's held numerous leadership positions, each marked by significant achievements and contributions to the company’s growth and success.

As the Director of Key Accounts, Nicolaisen led a team of over 75 designers and project managers, overseeing more than 1,000 McDonald’s projects annually. This initiative established a milestone for the EIS. She then advanced to her role as General Manager, leading the integration of Digney York Associates (DYA) into EIS. DYA is a leading general contracting firm specializing in the luxury hospitality division. Under her leadership, DYA achieved record sales and unified a new leadership team in the company.

Nicolaisen holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and brings expertise in program and project management, business process integration, data analytics, and construction management.

In addition, Tom Kelley has been promoted to President of DYA Construction + EIS Hospitality. Kelley’s proven leadership in the hospitality and construction sectors has driven sustained success for both segments.

Since joining the company over four years ago, Kelley has played a vital role in transitioning DYA into a new phase of operational and strategic excellence. His efforts have strengthened the company’s foundation and set the stage for continued success. Additionally, Kelley has been a driving force behind the evolution of EIS Hospitality, emphasizing advancements in FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) and global sourcing. His leadership also played a pivotal role in transitioning DYA’s legacy operations into a modern business model.

Before joining EIS, Kelley had an impressive career in architecture, design, and construction, gaining experience at globally recognized firms, including Marriott International.

In his new role, Kelley will focus on strengthening the company’s position as a leader in both hospitality and construction. With an emphasis on innovation, operational excellence, and client satisfaction, his strategic vision will drive further growth and global expansion for DYA and EIS Hospitality.

These promotions reflect EIS’s commitment to empowering its leadership team and supporting the company’s ongoing growth.
