MILWAUKEE, WI, August 10, 2022:  EIS Cares is a newly formed internal philanthropy program committed to giving back to the global communities where EIS employees work, live, and play. Through EIS Cares, EIS and its employees support the efforts of charitable organizations that align with their business through generous contributions.

The work of EIS Cares plays a significant role in helping the company successfully execute a critical part of this vision. Corporate philanthropy fosters employee engagement, generates business value, and creates even greater value for EIS, customers, employees, and global communities.

EIS Cares focuses on maximizing the benefits of financial contributions, employees volunteering time on the clock, and partnering with global non-profit organizations that provide a sustainable impact on communities. The program is led by Amy Berry, Director of Global Key Accounts & CSR, and directed by Shondra Watson-Wilson, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility. Both have a background and a passion for philanthropic work.

Recently, EIS employees raised money to support the Ronald McDonald House in Ukraine. As a McDonald’s partner and supplier for over 40 years, EIS strongly believes in giving back to Ronald McDonald House Charities and the programs they have developed for families around the world. The campaign successfully received donations from EIS employees all over the globe, and the company matched these donations.

"I am deeply saddened by the tragic occurrences in Ukraine,” says Shondra Watson-Wilson, Director of Corporate Social Responsibility & Supplier Diversity. “This terrible situation impacts us all, and I feel obligated to help. I was happy for the opportunity to donate collectively."

The program gives employees the opportunity to feel empowered to make a change in the lives of others. Amy Berry knows she positively helped families in Ukraine.

"It's easy to feel helpless when something is going on so far away," notes Berry, Director of Global Key Accounts & CSR. "By donating directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities, I know I can directly impact those in Ukraine who need help."

Upcoming initiatives for EIS Cares include promoting employee volunteer time off (VTO). EIS offers 16 hours of paid time off to employees to volunteer at a non-profit charitable organization.

“It’s important that EIS employees know the importance of partaking in charitable events and campaigns. This participation provides an additional human value to the work they already do,” Watson-Wilson said.
