Hans im Glück
Hans im Glück
Location:
Berlin, Germany
Scope:
EIS General Contracting (EIS GC) completed this project for Hans im Glück in the heart of Berlin. The team brought the renowned restaurant’s concept to life in Berlin’s Friedrichstraße, one of the city's most iconic streets in the bustling city center.
This Berlin location required transforming a previously occupied restaurant space. As the general contractor, EIS GC oversaw the full scope of work, starting with demolishing the existing furniture and installations. Once the space was cleared, we coordinated with the architect to implement the updated design plans, delivering a finished restaurant that embodies Hans im Glück’s unique atmosphere.
The project included managing critical building systems such as fire alarms, safety lighting, and sprinkler systems. EIS GC coordinated and supervised the companies responsible for these essential installations, ensuring integration and compliance.
Inside the restaurant, standout design elements include a corner seating area with “Berlin” prominently displayed on the wall and an illuminated feature showcasing the iconic Brandenburger Tor, a symbol of Berlin's rich cultural heritage.
Logistics were challenging given the location's central position and streetcars on Friedrichstraße. With no on-site storage available, materials were delivered just in time, ensuring efficiency and minimal disruption to the surrounding area.
This project displays EIS GC’s ability to adapt to complex renovation requirements and deliver high-quality results in urban environments.
